Vegan Burger with Sweet Potato Pattie

This is the name of the dish we have chosen for you; Vegan Burger with Sweet Potato Pattie.


for 2 people

Sweet Potato Patties
250 g sweet potato (peeled)
40 g of fine oatmeal
Salt pepper
1 – 2 teaspoons coconut oil

Bean paste

200 g of white beans (canned)
1 small handful of dried tomatoes
1 clove of garlic
1 dash of lemon juice
Salt, pepper

2 burger buns
130 g of chickpeas (canned)
1/2 avocado
2 salad leaves
1 red onion
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp turmeric
1 teaspoon of coconut oil

Vegan Burger with Sweet Potato Pattie


For the bean paste puree all ingredients in a blender (or similar) and season with salt and pepper. If necessary, add another drop of water if the paste is not supple enough.

Bring water to a boil in the pot. Peel the sweet potato and cut into small cubes. Cook until soft.
Crush the sweet potato in a bowl with a fork. Add oatmeal and stir well to form a shapeable mass. Season with salt and pepper. Allow the puff to cool slightly and then use wet hands to form patties.

Pour sesame seeds into a deep plate and turn the patties over so that they are covered with sesame on all sides.
Heat coconut oil in a pan and fry the patties on both sides until golden brown.
Briefly clean the pan and then heat 1 teaspoon of coconut oil. Thoroughly wash the chickpeas under running water and pat dry with kitchen towel. Add the chickpeas to the hot pan and season with paprika, turmeric and salt. Approximately Roast for 5 to 8 minutes, stirring several times.

Cut the burger buns in the middle. Spread both halves with the bean paste. On the lower half first a lettuce leaf and then the sweet potato pattie. Cover with avocado slices, onion rings and roasted chickpeas.
